Y-CJ7

This is my personal daily driver: a Jeep YJ wearing a classic CJ7 face. It started with a set of custom tube front fenders, then I converted the hood, grille, and interior to CJ7 style, and man, does it look good.

It was originally an automatic, so I swapped in an AX15 and traded the fuel injection for an old-school Weber carburetor to match the vibe. Behind that is a 231 transfer case with an SYE, custom Adams driveshafts, and a custom exhaust. Up front, it got a CAD delete kit and the big U-joint axle shaft upgrade from a later-model XJ.

It’s running a brand-new Bestop soft top, with a bikini top for summer. I rebuilt a set of absolutely roached doors off Marketplace, and built a set of Barnes4wd rock sliders with custom tube steps, plus a front bumper carrying a classic Warn 8274 winch. A custom boat stereo in the center console and some speakers keep the tunes going on those summertime ice cream runs.

I’m sure I’m forgetting something, but this Jeep turns heads everywhere it goes and drives great for how little I have into it. Now the only question left is... does it need tons and 40s?
